I am generally accessed post initial stabilization. For complex trauma clients, it is required to have a minimum of 6 months of stabilization and skill development therapy (i.e. DBT therapy) prior.
-Clients-
Hi, I’m Amanda—American-born, British-trained, so expect kindness, acceptance, and the option of tea. I work with adults seeking EMDR as a next step in their therapy journey. I also support individuals who have had difficulty accessing support through standard delivery of therapy modalities, especially when therapy has needed more translation for cognitive differences or neurotype.
I am an EMDR therapist with advanced experience in complex trauma, dissociation, and neurodivergent processing. I integrate IFS, DBT, and body-based approaches to support trauma work, reduce anxiety, and make therapy more accessible. I adapt therapy around communication style, sensory needs, attuned pacing, parts work, and building daily-life support systems.
Therapy can offer a structured, supportive space to make sense of what you are carrying, adapt the work to fit how you process, and build support and coping skills that reaches beyond the session into daily life. If this feels like a good fit, please reach out.
